Drake isn’t the only one in Toronto who dropped a short film today.
Ottawa-bred, Toronto-based hip-hop duo Philly Moves just released a cinematic new visual for their track “Weakday/Fool’s Gold,” and according to resident beatmaker Rockwell, it was a refreshing challenge for the pair.
"This was a super fun video for us to do. We stepped out of our comfort zone and tried some ‘acting.’ Writer and Director Dan Jardine did an amazing job orchestrating the whole story line and bringing it to life. We'd love to do more videos in the vain of short films such as this one."
The video features Rockwell and MC Tragic on a True Detective tip, culminating with a conceptually cerebral twist ending. It’s an appropriate visual accomplice to an equally tense track.
