We all know him as Drake’s right-hand-man and longtime producer, but Noah “40” Shebib is far from a footnote on Drizzy’s Wikipedia page. He's the sonic architect responsible for creating a sound that turned Wheelchair Jimmy into Champagne Papi in just a few short years. Before even meeting, Shebib and Drake had something in common—they were both child actors. Long before Drake was wheelin’ his way around the halls of Degrassi High, 40 portrayed “Buck Mayhew” in a 10-episode arc on Canadian historical drama Wind At My Back, a show about a family struggling through life in depression-era Ontario. Clearly, these two were made for each other.

After fellow Toronto beatsmith Boi-1da remixed a song by Divine Brown that 40 produced, they soon got to work on Drake's So Far Gone, a project that would put them all on the map. While his catalogue is definitively Aubrey-heavy (73 percent, to be exact), the tracks 40 has produced for other artists showcase a versatility he rarely gets credit for. Miraculously, he’s done it all while battling MS, a degenerative disorder that impacts the central nervous system.

Courtesy of a dedicated 40 fan on r/HipHopHeads, here’s a YouTube playlist that spans nearly every single beat in Noah “40” Shebib’s 13 year long, 86 song production discography.
