Charles Hamilton is making his musical comeback this year which means he's now back in the eyes of the media. Today, he hit up Hot 97 for an in-depth interview and freestyle session. During the extensive conversation, Hamilton spoke on his comeback before shifting the interview towards his past, where he called the infamous video of him getting punched by a woman. “I found that moment to be a beautiful moment,” said Hamilton. “I was the one who told the videographer to put the video out.”

Since his return, Hamilton has been very open about his ongoing mental health issues, and talked about it again today while revealing that he's dealt with depression for a long time. He also revealed that back in 2010 he was officially diagnosed with bi-polar disorder after years of being misdiagnosed by doctors. In an interview with Billboard last week, Hamilton revealed that while he was away from music he considered the thought of suicide.

Following the very open conversation with Rosenberg, Hamilton agreed to drop a freestyle live on air where he proved why he has maintained such a strong fan base while he's been gone. Starting at the 39-minute mark of the video, Hamilton effortlessly raps off the top of his head while dropping a pretty incredible sequence of dope lines and proving that he hasn't really lost a step with his skills. Hamilton's new single, "NY Raining," is currently available for purchase on iTunes as part of the Empire soundtrack.
