DMV rapper Jay IDK (Ignorantly Delivering Knowledge) has made a wave with his two recent singles, Hungry and Wake Up.” Today, over production from Lo-Fi and Tobari, Jay drops "The Plug," a sonically eerie, and lyrically impressive track where he's rapping about his own alter ego. Jay's ability to distort his vocals to the melodies is a rarity these days.

“King Trappy is my alter ego a.k.a. the plug," Jay tells Complex. "The plug is pretty much a trap song with substance (#SubTrap). The second verse is where I break down 'The Plug,' the Reagan era how it effects society, from the plug (King Trappy's) point of view. I'm not trying to preach. I'm just doing my best to give a non bias breakdown of trap from both sides of the fence, to raise awareness, hence the two totally different sounding verses."
