"My job is to make people lose their shit," Lil Jon tells Complex News during a recent visit to Bud Light's Whatever, USA in Catalina Island. The quote reads like the greatest LinkedIn bio of all time and—if Lil Jon's catalog of lasting dance floor anthems is any indication ("Get Low," "Turn Down For What," and "Turbulence")—business is good.

During the weekend event, Lil Jon gave a commencement speech of sorts with the closing performance and paraded about the streets of Avalon Bay with a crown on his head. He no longer wants to be called “The King of Crunk,” but it’s impossible to deny his absolute power when it comes to the turn up. Where there is light beer, wristbands, and beat drops, Lil Jon is omnipresent.

Somehow, we found a break in his packed schedule to discuss his new single “Cutie Pie” and why he doesn’t take DJ requests, even from the bigwigs in Vegas. Check it out.
