Warren G Is Releasing A Sequel To 'Regulate...G Funk Era'

Warren G announces a sequel to his 1994 debut.

Warren G has announced plans to release a sequel to his 1994 debut Regulate...G Funk Era later this summer. The Part II will be released on August 6, according to Billboard

Speaking with Billboard about the project, an EP that will feature unreleased recordings from Nate Dogg, Warren G explained his motivation to sequelize his debut. "I feel real good that I am getting the chance to let people hear a lot of that sound that has been missing [in] hip-hop,” he said. "I finally have records that I had in the archives that I put together to let the world hear some of that G Funk that they’ve been missing and wanting to hear for long time."

As for the Nate Dogg collaborations, Warren G said, "It was a lot to work on records with one of your buddies, one of your best friends who's not with you anymore." The "Regulate" rapper also touched on the record's more recent collaborations. "Guys that I respect a lot in the music business came aboard and collaborated with me on some tracks," he told Billboard. “Artists like E-40Too $hort, Young JeezyBun B are vets of hip-hop. [They're] artists that me and Nate loved and wanted to work with."

The first single, the Nate Dogg-featuring "My House," will be released soon.
