DJ Dahi's production catalog reads like a who's who of the rap industry, featuring work with Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Lupe Fiasco, and Vince Staples. The Los Angeles producer even contributed to Dr. Dre's Compton album—check that off the bucket list.

With a firm hold in the hip-hop scene, Dahi is now expanding to EDM with his latest single, "Drop." Complex premieres the accompanying visuals for this banger, which centers around a man determined to level up in his fencing game. You read that right.

"When I make music I try not to create 'cookie cutter' style tracks. I believe in pushing boundaries and using musical influences to stretch beyond what people think fits in a genre," Dahi told us. "Making the 'Drop' video I thought about what happens in clubs, nightlife and after the party as a concept for making the video. But then I thought what about taking people on a visual journey. As the track changes and shifts so does the emotion of the video."

"I decided to focus on bringing out emotion visually that mirrors the feeling I felt in the studio while helping make this track," he added. "Fencing is a sport that only is highlighted during the Olympics but could be a great tool to accentuate feeling I was trying to capture."
