For the past two years, the MTV Video Music Award shows didn't have a host. MTV should've kept it that way. Miley Cyrus was horrible. Her comedic timing was wild off and every joke she told fell flat. The skits were high-key triddash. Especially the one with Tyga, Mike Will Made-It, and Juicy J. Juicy felt the same way and dipped from that lame fest early. Her monologues bricked so hard she could have built a housing project on stage. Chance the Rapper felt the same:
Her voice is OD annoying, too. But in comparison to all of the other shit she did tonight, that’s a minor quibble. For example, she called Snoop Dogg "mammy." No, seriously. She called Snoop, "mammy.”

Miley's shtick of being controversial is wearing thin. MTV picking her as host was a head-scratcher to say the least. Her album Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz just dropped? Cool. She shocked the nation two years ago when she twerked on Robin Thicke, but is that enough to make her host? Nah. The best part of Miley's turn as host was when Nicki figuratively snatched her dreads after she won Best Hip-Hop Video for "Anaconda." Was it real? Was it fake? Only MTV, Nicki, and Miley know for sure. One thing it was, though, was awkward. You take a shot at the queen, you best not miss. Cyrus backpedaled like Neon Deion sizing up an interception.
To make matters worst, MTV kept teasing shit before going to commercial like, "What will Miley do next?" Get the fuck outta here, don't nobody care about her dusty ass. The segue after Kanye's 2020 presidential bid was everything but seamless and made me cringe as I screamed at the TV for it to end. Plus Kendrick lost out for Video of the Year to Taylor Swift. Fuck MTV and the 2015 VMAs. This entire night was offensive. She's up there with the Wayans Bros. and Russell Brand as the worst VMA hosts ever. I wish Marlon was here to moon us all.
