After previewing the first track from their forthcoming album, Vancouver-based indie-dance four-piece Bear Mountain have commissioned a high energy remix from Canadian producer Swim Good.

Swim Good, a.k.a. Jon Lawless, gives the galloping original mix a four-on-the-floor treatment, highlighting the song’s bubbly bassline, and optimizing “Hopeful” for maximum dancefloor potential.

“When we wrote the song, we were thinking of being young, and being so hopeful for the future, but you can't seem to escape the fact that you're always fucking it up,” the band told Complex via email. "We were on, we were off, we were young, we were lost, we were so close to classic—hopeful but tragic.”

Listen to Swim Good’s remix of “Hopeful” by Bear Mountain below, and watch for the band’s sophomore record, dropping sometime in 2016 via Last Gang Records.
