Less than a week after the streaming platform's inaugural live eventBillboard reports that Jay Z's Tidal now has a dedicated concert space at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The space has been hosting concerts for the last three years as the Cushman & Wakefield Theater but was renamed today and will henceforth be known as the Tidal Theatre. According to Brett Yormark, the Barclays Center CEO, the Tidal partnership is a "content deal" that will allow Tidal to put on "a minimum of eight events into the theater annually." Yormark added, "we'll compliment that with other events," suggesting that Tidal artists obviously won't be the only one's to perform on the stage.

Billboard reports that "the deal is unique in that it is believed to be the first time a digital content company has come in as a sponsor for a live performance venue." “As evidenced by [Tidal X: 1020] the other night, Tidal, when they want to, can put on some big time events, and we anticipate having quite a few here at Barclays Center," Yormark said. "It’s just another strategic alliance that I think helps to advance the content business here at Barclays Center, and we’re very excited about it.”

The Tidal Theatre can seat between 4,000 and 6,000 concert goers depending on the space's configuration.
