The RZA first came across Ol' Dirty Bastard's "Obey Me" back in 2010 while sifting through old files on his computer and decided to team up with speaker company Boombotix to release it today. The original track, titled "Bitches Better Obey Me," was produced by RZA and Buddha Monk in 1994 and will be made available with the purchase of this special edition ODB Boombot REX speaker. They also decided to get producers High Klassified and Shash'U to make remixes.

Ol' Dirty Bastard passed 11 years ago and rap has yet to fill his void. Hs charisma and spirit carried many Wu-Tang projects, making him one of the crew's breakout stars. RZA misses those days too, telling Rolling Stone:

"I'm hearing Ason just be Ason and that's something I miss from him. It reminds you of the unity and camaraderie of the Wu-Tang. We cross-pollinated ourselves so much because there was a brotherhood, a community of unity of hip-hop. And this song gives me a glimpse on what made us unique and great."
