MGMT are giving their fans a heads up that something major is coming from them in 2016. On Christmas Day, the band says 2016 is the year when MGMT “re-dominates your mind hole.”

Happy bday jesus . Merry holidays everyone. Happy birthday, everyone: 2016 is the year MGMT re-dominates your mind hole , see you then 💖

In 2013, the group consisting of founding members Benjamin Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden released their self-titled album.  Although singles like “Alien Days” and “Cool Song No. 2” were pushed with videos, they haven’t put out new music for a while. To date, they haven’t played a music festival since last year’s Coachella and Party In The Park in Atlanta, GA. For Coachella, aside from their own set, they performed with Kid Cudi for "Pursuit Of Happiness" off Man on the Moon: The End of Day.

Could this tweet mean a MGMT album is coming in 2016?
