Chief Keefis only 20 years old, yet he’s gained a ton of fans since becoming the face of Chicago’s drill scene.

Case in point: this recent interaction with a fan backstage at one of his shows. The kid is crying because he’s just his met his idol. Sosa, the good guy that he is, share some words of wisdom that cheers him up.

He tells the fan that he’s going to do something amazing in his life. And then he says, “The only chance I had in life was being nothing but a rapper." This is beyond cool considering the journey Keef had to go through to get this far in his career. If you recall, he was signed to Interscope when he was a teenager, put out his debut album Finally Rich, and worked with Kanye West on Yeezus.

Just last year, Keef has proven he has a unstoppable work ethic by putting out free material like his double albumBang 3, Nobody 2and his collaborative project with DP Beats titled Almighty DP 2. It all shows Keef is a good inspiration for younger fans. You can watch the video above via DJ Akademiks.
