Fat Trel might be "Rich as Fuck," but that didn't stop police from reportedly arresting him today at a Maryland casino. According to a report from TMZ, Trel was detained after trying to use nine fake $50 bills to gamble with. The report says that police were able to identify the fake money easily by the bills' matching serial numbers. Trel, who is signed to Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group, was then arrested and charged with possession of counterfeit currency.

Fat Trel maintains his innocence in the matter, and even spoke out on Twitter about it. Although the TMZ report says that Trel claimed all the bills came from a 7-Eleven ATM in Washington DC, Trel himself denied this. "AN ATM ?😂😂😂😂😂 I DONT EVEN OWN A BANK CARD...PICTURE BIG GLEETCHIE AT A ATM..." he wrote. "CRACKA GOT MAD AT ME LIKE ICREARE DA MONEY...FAKE PROMOTERz DEWWILDSHYT...BUT IM NO SNITCH💯😂😷😏 FUK EM....WE BALL!!!" He also added that this would be his "1st & LASTER RESPONSE 2 DA BULLSHYT!!!"

Trel most recently released his mixtape Muva Russia back in December. Complex has reached out to his rep for comment on the allegations. You can check out his response tweets below.
