It's not a big mystery that Chance the Rapper continually puts on for his hometown of Chicago, but it's always great to see the city give that positive energy back to Chance as well. That trend will resume later this week when Chance is scheduled to throw out the first pitch at the Chicago White Sox home opener on Friday when they play the Cleveland Indians. This news was first reported by The Chicago Sun Times earlier today.

This will be the second time that Chance has kicked off a White Sox home opener, as he also threw out the first pitch back in 2014. In not as fun news, Chance will not perform at the game, but John Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls is slated to sing the national anthem, which is also cool. Chance was a bit outside with his throw last time, so maybe he's ready to come back even stronger this time around. Of course, no first pitch will ever be worse than 50 Cent's, which is still a sight to see. Be sure to check out Chance's last opening day pitch below, and check back on Friday for footage of his first pitch from this year.
