Today, Nick Jonas comes one step closer to the release of his new album with his latest track, "Champagne Problems." The song travels down familiar musical territory melding electronic tendencies with a throbbing backline and savage pop hook that steers the song to its radio-ready end. The song itself deals with a heated breakup with two people getting together to pop bottles and drink the pain of their final goodbye away with some pricey champagne.

Of course, Nick went through a very public breakup with his long-term girlfriend, Olivia Culpo, last year, which he told us was a huge influence on his new music. “Naturally I’m going to pull a lot from that,” he said in his Complex cover story. “Not even so much about that relationship in particular, but about my state of mind, who I want to be. I’m meeting new people, and what that has been like. Also, just as a general change in my life. This year has been kind of nuts.”

Recently, Nick shared his Tove Lo collaboration track, "Close" off his new album, Last Year Was Complicated, due out this year. Interestingly enough, it was Jay Z who helped Nick come up with the title for the album. Needless to say, we're very excited to see what else Nick has in store. Until then, check out "Champagne Problems" above and look out for his new album to arrive June 10.
