UPDATE: 2:30 PM

As it turns out, Kembe X is not the latest member of TDE. Somebody must have got a hold of Top because the label founder hopped on Twitter to put the speculation to bed.

Jus woke up n found out I signed Kembe X. Sbq changed his album cover. Let's keep it going I'm dropN my Ep 2day @ 12 pic.twitter.com/F9wAWSGYUi
Let's see how many sites post that... When I signed something new I will let y'all know... Kembe X is a friend of the family..

See below for the original story.

There aren't many labels in rap hotter than TDE at the moment. It features a stable that includes Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Schoolboy Q, and SZA to name just a few. The label has quickly become one of the most bankable places for young aspiring talent to become bona fide hitmakers. Now, it seems that its stable of artists has grown by one, if you're to believe Twitter.

Saturday night, Chicago rapper Kembe X sent out a tweet that simply read, "TDE." That was followed up in short order with a picture of himself wearing a dazzling, oversized TDE chain.

Speculation about TDE's roster has run rampant ever since Top Dawg founder Anthony Tiffith posted a picture of a white board with most of the label's future plans written out in marker to social media in February.

Kendrick's "???" of course became the album Untitled.Unmastered, which was released on March 4th, while Schoolboy Q's "sample clearance" issue seems to have been figured out in time for his next album; Blank Face LP is set to drop on July 8th.

That just left the two new artist slots, annotated as "John Doe 1" and "John Doe 2," up for speculation. The first unnamed figure ended up being Lance Skiiiwalker, another Chicago artist. That means that Kembe X might just be the second unnamed John Doe.

Can somebody get Top on the phone to get this all sorted out, please?
