Earlier this year, Rockie Fresh released his new mixtape The Night I Went To... along with a few special city editions of the project to highlight his time in NYC, L.A., and his hometown of Chicago, respectively. On Tuesday, he comes through with a new tune that will satisfy fans in "Lies and Lullabies." It's an introspective record where Rockie attempts to battle his inner demons while still staying the bright and friendly person people have come to know him as. "Ain't really sleep last night 'cause I was way too busy thinkin' bout the different ways that I can learn to practice what I'm preaching," he spits over the somber backdrop.

"Dealing with real life shit, decided to speak on it in roughly in a song," Rockie told Complex via email. That 'real life shit' breeds a powerful performance here.

Bump Rockie Fresh's "Lies and Lullabies" below and keep your ears and eyes peeled for more new music from the Chicago representative. Of course, Rockie will also be in the house for MMG Weekend, which goes down July 1-3 in Atlanta at the Maybach estates. Fellow MMG members Meek Mill, Wale, Stalley, Gunplay, and of course Rick Ross will be in attendance.
