Carly Rae Jepsen's E•MO•TION was the pop sleeper hit of 2015, garnering critical praise and rocketing her back into the conversation after the fun but pigeon-holing success of "Call Me Maybe." She worked with artists like Blood Orange's Dev Hynes, Ariel Rechtshaid, and former Vampire Weekend musician Rostam Batmanglij, left-field collaborators for a pop artist. Although sales ended up being a bit slower than expected, the album nonetheless helped re-ignite her popularity and expand her image beyond the fame of her big hit.

Now, just over a year after that project first dropped, Carly is back with another collection of music. Dubbed E•MO•TION (Side B), the project builds on the sound of her previous release, infusing it with even more bubblegum pop energy. Clocking in at eight tracks, the album serves as a follow up to E•MO•TION while still maintaining its own personality in her catalogue.

Jepsen has been busy since her album release last year. She embarked on a nationwide tour, snagged the role of Frenchie in Fox's Grease: Live, and recorded the theme song for the Netflix reboot of 90s classic Full House. Oh yeah, and she apparently found some time to record an entirely new project in there as well. She also joined Justin Bieber, Nick Jonas, Five Seconds of Summer, Troye Sylvan, and more celebrities in a hilarious parody of Kanye West's infamous "Famous" video back in July.
