Danny Brown’s upcoming project, Atrocity Exhibition, is long overdue. Since the release of the critically acclaimed Old in 2013, fans of the Detroit rapper have been patiently awaiting his fourth studio album, which he says he’s been working on for the last three years. The anticipation only grew when Danny released the record’s first single, "When It Rain" back in June. Now, about two months later, he’s given us another taste of what’s to come with a sneak peek at a track called "Pneumonia.”

The 18-second snippet was posted on Danny’s Twitter account on Wednesday and features a killer beat with percussion instruments as well as adlibs by Danny’s good friend ScHoolboy Q, who also provided input for the upcoming album.

"I wrote for a long time. I wrote it for two years and I recorded it for a year," he said during an interview on Sway in the Morning. "I'd be around A$AP Rocky or ScHoolboy Q. With ScHoolboy, we bounced off each other for each other's albums. Like I heard his album from beginning to end […] I'd go to his house and we'd just play songs back and forth so it kinda helped us out."

Danny went on to say that Atrocity Exhibition felt like his career album, as it will showcase the real Danny Brown sound. You can get another idea of what he means by checking out the "Pneumonia" snippet below.

And be sure to keep it locked to Complex as more information about Atrocity Exhibition comes through.
