Assuming you don’t live under a rock, you’re probably aware that Frank Ocean released several projects over the weekend. There was his Endless visual album, his second studio project Blonde, as well as his Boys Don’t Cry zine. The latter featured 366 pages of images and text by a wide range of contributors. But there was one piece that had everyone talking: The poem penned by Kanye West inspired by McDonald’s. And, yes, it was as awesome as it sounds.

But just when we thought the piece couldn’t get any more epic, Joey Bada$$ recited the poem during a stop at Hot 97’s studio Monday. His rhythm? Amazing. His inflection? Incredible. His overall performance? Nothing short of Shakespearean.

You can watch Joey recite The McDonald’s Man in the video above.

Ocean’s Boys Don’t Cry project was given away on a first-come, first-served basis Saturday at his various pop-up shops. The zine has since made its way onto several auction sites, with listers asking for up to $1,000 for an unopened copy. The prices weren’t too surprising considering the publication was assumed to be exclusive. But Ocean’s mother, Katonya Breaux, has suggested that a wider release of Boys Don’t Cry is on the way. So hopefully you didn’t sacrifice your rent money for a copy off of eBay just yet.
