Fans might dream of a collaboration between Kendrick Lamar and Childish Gambino, but unfortunately that hasn't happened yet. Thankfully, someone has stepped up to fill the void. As Reddit users point out, a SoundCloud user named Najvyexi recently put out a full-length rework of Childish Gambino's Because the Internet, subbing in Kendrick Lamar vocals over the original beats.

The collection, titled good boy, d.E.E.p. web, includes some gems, like when he overlays Kendrick's "Backseat Freestyle" on the beat of Gambino's "Sweatpants." Other highlights include Kendrick's "Poetic Justice" over Gambino's "Pink Toes" and Kendrick's "untitled 08 | 09.06.2014." over Gambino's "Shadows." It's sadly missing a redub of "The Worst Guys" due to a copyrigh claim, but aside from that takes on Gambino's entire sophomore album.

Although Gambino and Kendrick have never worked together directly, Gambino has collaborated with several of Kendrick's TDE peers, including Ab-Soul and ScHoolboy Q. Both appeared on his mixtape Royalty

Gambino is actually gearing up to finally release new music after several years. Back in June, he announced that he'd be debuting new music at a series of shows in Joshua Tree, California. This is supposedly set to lead to a new album, titled Pharos. Outside of music, Gambino is also debuting his new FX series Atlanta this fall. The show is hotly anticipated, and has already been bringing in some excited reviews.

While you wait to see what comes of Gambino's next career moves, you can stream Najvyexi's good boy, d.E.E.p. web below via SoundCloud.
