M.I.A. comes through today with the Diplo produced version of her new song, "Bird Song." The collaboration is a monumental one, considering it marks the first time that M.I.A. and Diplo have worked together since her 2010 album MAYA and their subsequent very public falling out.

The song reportedly almost never saw the light of day due to politics at M.I.A.'s label, which she expressed to fans over a series of tweets earlier this month as she pleaded with Interscope to clear the track. Thankfully, they sorted it out and her fans can now listen to Diplo's bombastic take on "Bird Song," which will also appear on the album.

Previously, M.I.A. released Blaqstarr's take on the song, which takes a softer route compared to the percussion heavy work of Diplo. Both versions will appear on M.I.A.'s forthcoming album, AIM, which is set to drop September 9. According to the tracklist, the album will also feature a collaboration with Zayn Malik and Dexta Daps and will round out at 17 tracks total.
