Premiere: Watch Kiki Rowe’s Video For “Trust Issues”

Watch the new video from Toronto singer, Kiki Rowe.

Toronto songstress, Kiki Rowe, has been quickly making a name for herself in her home city and abroad. After self-releasing her debut EP at the end of 2014, Rowe managed to grab a recording deal with Sony, and has since collaborated with some of the industry’s most exciting names. The Mississauga native’s blending of murky R&B and glossy pop, have continued to put us on red alert. Now she’s received a visual for one of the songs that best exemplifies her sound, “Trust Issues”.

The cut was produced by YG and Rihanna maestro, DJ Mustard, and lays the bouncy groundwork that we’ve come to expect from the L.A. producer. The song has already landed on a number of Spotify playlists, eventually reaching #1 on the Canadian Viral 50. And, because the island wave cannot be stopped, Rowe just linked up with Vancouver DJ producers Young Bombs for an official Trop House remix of the track.

The video for “Trust Issues” sees Kiki in vignettes around the city, and weaves a filmic narrative around the titular dilemma. The visual was directed by notable Aaron A, who has worked with names including Alessia Cara, Majid Jordan, and Jacuzzi La Fleur himself, Jazz Cartier.

You can watch the video for trust issues above. Kiki Rowe will be performing at KiSS Radio’s WHAM BAM Music Festival in Vancouver, on August 20th.
