Tove Lo is gearing up for the release of her sophomore album Lady Wood, and Thursday night she unleashed her new single. Recruiting Wiz Khalifa for the track, titled "Influence," Tove Lo lays down a smooth, dance-ready jam. "Things I say don't usually come easily/There's one thing I need you now to know about me/You know I'm under the influence/So don't trust every word I say/When I'm under the influence/It's a blur but I want my way," she sings on the chorus. As the song winds down, Wiz Khalifa comes in to spit a rapid-fire verse.

Despite just ramping up the hype machine for her album, Tove Lo has already scored a hit this year. She joined Nick Jonas on "Close," the lead single from his album Last Year Was Complicated. Their steamy video for the track dropped back in March. Although Jonas expressed disappointment that it was overlooked at this year's VMAs, the video still racked up almost 150 million views on YouTube. Tove Lo also linked up with Flume for "Say It" back in April of this year.

"Influence" follows the already-popular track "Cool Girl," which serves as Lady Wood's lead single. The album is the follow up to the singer's popular 2014 debut Queen of the Clouds, which spawned the popular single "Habits (Stay High)." That song actually peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, success that Tove Lo is no doubt hoping to replicate with her sophomore project.
