Alex Trebek, host of Jeopardy!, will probably be fending off angry nerdcore fans and rappers in his mentions for this show of disrespect.

A clip, captured by @TerrellDidThis, shows a woman who is explaining to Trebek what nerdcore hip-hop is. “It’s people who identify as nerdy, rapping about the things they love—video games, science fiction, having a hard time meeting romantic partners,” she says. “It’s really catchy and fun.”

“Losers, in other words?” Trebek says.

You’re a savage, Trebek.

Mega Ran, one of the popular names in the nerdcore rap scene, caught wind of the video and tweeted:

Nerdcore hip-hop isn’t mainstream, but more of an underground sub-genre where the MCs dedicate their songs to nerd culture. Besides Mega Ran, there are others like MC Frontalot, MC Chris, and Deltron 3030 who have aligned themselves with the tag. Early releases from Childish Gambino and MF Doom contain elements of nerdcore, but they progressed so much in their artistry that they've outgrown the label.

Nerdcore and hip-hop have intersected a lot. You can check out this list of 30 songs that sample video games, or Mega Ran’s Black Materia: Final Fantasy VII, which combines FF VII instrumentals with rhymes.
