Alicia Keys Brings Out Jay Z to Perform "Empire State of Mind" in Times Square

Alicia Keys held a surprise concert Sunday night in New York’s iconic Times Square that was free to Tidal subscribers. So if you wanted to skip out on watching tonight’s second presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, then this was the move for you.

On Saturday, Keys was teasing the show with rehearsal videos. Fans didn’t know the location yet, but she made sure to keep everyone excited, even hinting a special performance of "Empire State of Mind."

And she definitely delivered. Jay Z came out to perform “Empire State of Mind” with her. The song, an ode to New York City, appeared on Hov’s 2009 album The Blueprint 3.

Keys also took a dig at Trump's controversial comments about getting women, and she was pretty clear that she didn't agree with him given her gesture.

Keys is preparing to release her upcoming sixth studio album, Here, on Nov. 4. The first single is “Blended Family (What You Do for Love)” that features ASAP Rocky. You can listen to the song here.
