Word of caution: Never attempt to force Miguel to perform.

On Wednesday night, the 30-year-old singer showed up at San Diego night club Side Bar. According to TMZ, Miguel had inked a deal with the venue’s owner to make an appearance; however, the contract mentioned didn't mention anything about a performance. The owner told the publication that the contract did not require Miguel to sing, but that the two made a verbal agreement in which the Grammy-winning artist would perform one song.

The club owner reportedly put a microphone in front of Miguel’s face, basically pushing him to sing a song. Miguel, understandably, got heated and began calling out with the owner.

You can check out the altercation in the footage above.

According to Side Bar’s Instagram, Miguel’s appearance was part of a fundraiser that aimed to raise money for breast cancer awareness, but, as you can see from the flyer, there is no mention of an actual performance.

The event took place after Miguel's San Diego WildHeart tour stop at Viejas Arena. The tour is set to hit cities like Las Vegas, Chicago, Boston, and Philadelphia, before wrapping up in Austin on Nov. 6.
