Pharrell comes through today with his new song, "Runnin'," his song for the new Hidden Figures soundtrack.

The song is an upbeat number that finds Pharrell recalling Virginia summers, which is where the film's leading trio of African-American mathematicians were hired to work for NASA's Langley Research Center. Pharrell has a large hand in the film, which he co-produced along with writing original music for the film's soundtrack.

This isn't nearly the first time Pharrell has been brought out to contribute to a soundtrack. The multi-talent had a huge success with his song "Happy" for the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack.

It's been a while since Pharrell has released a solo track, dropping his last solo LP, G I R L, all the way back in 2014, but he has been keeping busy producing and collaborating with other artists including A$AP Rocky for his song "Hear Me," Cassius and Cat Power on "Go Up," and executive produced Little Big Town's Wanderlust album. He has also been keeping things going on his OTHERtone Beats 1 show with guests like Kid Cudi while also helping Apple CEO Tim Cook honor the latest Apple launch with a quick cameo on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke.

Listen to "Runnin'" above and look for Hidden Figures to arrive in theaters this Christmas.
