Fresh off debuting her new remix with Ebro on Beats 1Lauriana Mae is debuting the track's official video featuring Raekwon.

The mostly black and white visual is peppered with pops of color as both Lauriana and Raekwon take us on a tour of a neighborhood where Mae grew up. Each unleashes a streamline of emotion while delivering their respective verses of the song. The two remain separated for the entirety of the video, but are connected through a parking lot backdrop and white car that set the scene for each artist at one point.

"The video was shot in my dad's yard where I grew up surrounded by family, friends and frenemies. It was everything that this song represented," Mae told Complex over email. Raekwon added, "It brought me down to memory lane again, for someone using it 20 years later is a blessing. Happy to be apart of the records."

If you remember, Mae premiered the original "Protect Ya Neck" track all the way back in 2015 right here on the pages of Complex. Now, the New Jersey singer-songwriter is currently working on her debut studio album, but has decided to unleash a project titled, Can't Go Back, first. The free project will include guest appearances from Dreezy, Manolo Rose, and of course Raekwon along with many others. The first release from the project was a track titled "LOL" featuring Chicago rapper Dreezy.

Jack Splash, who has written and produced for talent like Alicia Keys, R Kelly, Cee-Lo Green, and John Legend, is handling all the producing responsibilities on both the mixtape and debut album. Describing how the new version came together, Splash told Complex, "Lauriana and I really wanted to celebrate the beauty and intellect in Wu-Tang's original song and at the same time do something totally different for a new generation. The fact that the god Raekwon appreciated what we made and was down to hop on the remix and be in the video really means the world to us."
