Bobbi Kristina Brown's boyfriend, Nick Gordon, has been ordered to pay $36 million in damages in wrongful death case, the Associated Press has reported.

A Fulton County judge awarded the Bobbi Kristina's family more than $36 million in a wrongful death civil suit Thursday. The decision follows a September ruling where Gordon was found "legally responsible" for Bobbi Kristina's death after he failed to appear in court.

Bobbi Kristina tragically passed away at the age of 22 back in August of 2015, months after she had been found unresponsive in a bathtub in her home. Gordon was accused of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and transferring money from Brown's account into his own without authorization. Gordon failed to appear in court twice leaving the judge to rule that he was admitting to the charges through omission.

The judge broke down the dollar amount as "$1.575 million for money taken from the account, including alleged stolen rings, $250,000 in punitive damages, $1.37 million for assault and battery, $13.8 million for pain and suffering as a result of assault, $4.2 million in punitive damages, and $15 million for present value of life," according to Atlanta's NBC affiliated 11 Alive News.

Gordon was reportedly not in court Thursday and has not been criminally charged in Bobbi Kristina's death.
