In Q’s new video for “Dope Dealer,” directed by Ryan Staake, he offers an inside look at the process of the marijuana business. He starts from the very beginning, zooming in on a seed inside a plastic bag that later gets transferred to a pot of soil. After a while, the plant grows big enough for someone to harvest its buds. As we follow this strain’s journey to different handlers, there’s also a side story of unexpected stuff that can happen when a drug deal goes wrong. Cops, murder, and shady people—just a few things thrown our heroes' way which force them to think on their feet. You can watch it all happen above.
“Dope Dealer” is one of the tracks on ScHoolboy Q’s Blank Face LP that was released earlier in July. As for E-40, he’s still churning out music: look out for The D-Boy Diary (Book 1 and Book 2) dropping on Nov. 18.
