The #MannequinChallenge has drawn in participants from NBA MVP LeBron James and First Lady Michelle Obama to The Beatles bassist Sir Paul McCartney. The latter drew popularity on Instagram as the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Member reciprocated a shout-out from Rae Sremmrud in a nod to their hit single “Black Beatles.” For the latest episode of MTV’s Wonderland, Vic Mensa, Kehlani, and D.R.A.M. took the viral craze to MTV’s stages to keep the trend going.

Kehlani’s performance was highlighted by her single, “Gangsta” and a not so thinly veiled opinion about Tuesday’s election results. The Oakland vocalist donned a shirt that read, “My President is the People” in response to news of Donald Trump’s win.

Vic Mensa jokingly grabbed a crowd member by the collar while frozen for the #MannequinChallenge, and his portion of the showcase featured the politically charged “16 Shots,” while D.R.A.M. rounded things out with his Lil Yachty collaboration “Broccoli.” Despite the light atmosphere generally associated with the #MannequinChallenge, all three artists were vocal about the prospects of a presidency under Donald Trump in the days leading up to the Wonderland performance. D.R.A.M. retweeted a message sending prayers to “Muslim friends and family,” and Vic Mensa told his followers, “Donald Trump’s presidency will force us to fight the ugly truths of America face to face. We needed this.”
