We’ve lost count of the times that Soulja Boy has threatened to shoot somebody, but has the “Crank That” rapper actually done it? He says yes.

In a recent interview with Vlad TV, Soulja retells the story of a time when he opened fire on a burglar who had invaded his Atlanta home. He says it went down after his album release party in 2008, when a group of men followed him to his gated community. While in his mansion, Soulja was joined by three of his friends were in the studio; after rapper Ja-Bar went outside to take the trash, he informed Soulja there were some “fans” driving past the home.

“I said, ‘What the fuck? Some fans?’ I grabbed a pistol and look, don’t see shit and come back in the crib. […] Then all I hear is ‘boom,’” said Soulja, who went on to say he saw three to four masked men running through his house. “One nigga run to the front door, I hop out, I start shooting […] shot his ass.”

Soulja said at one point he went up to the home-invader and took off his mask. After he realized he knew who the man was, Soulja began shooting him again. It’s a wild story, but this account is much different than the ones he’s given in the past.

In a 2009 radio interview,Soulja said one of the assailants had put an AK up to his friend’s head and put him on the ground before the men fled from the house. There was no mention of him shooting anyone. In a 2010 interview, he admitted to shooting one of the home invaders, but was advised not to discuss it at the time.

“I really didn’t want nobody to know that I shot somebody,” Soulja said. “My label [didn’t] want that out there [because] when the robbery went down I had fans like 9, 10 years old. But being that I’m 20, I don’t give a fuck no more.”

The inconsistencies have led many people to believe that Soulja is lying about the whole situation. Check out some of the Twitter responses below.
