It's always great to see friendly competition in hip-hop, especially from the new crop of rap acts. Lil Uzi Vert and Lil Yachty recently took this to another level over Instagram after Uzi Vert previewed new music from his upcoming project Luv Is Rage 2.

Yachty peeped the preview, hopped in the comments, and wrote, "Sound hard but don’t sound harder than that Yachty," and added Uzi Vert's signature face with rolling eyes emoji.

You think Uzi Vert would ignore that playful jab? Naw. "Put out your album so I can destroy that shit with mine. And don’t rap threw your nose on this one," he wrote back, a challenge Yachty, who is prepping his debut solo album, immediately accepted.

Lil Uzi Vert continued to taunt Yachty, digging a little deeper with the jabs. "Ya ass is (mentally) Challenge don't try to bring that foolishness over Here you better finish ya last challenge Now go find a few girl and stop worry bout boys," he wrote, while also calling Yachty a "slow ass." The "mentally challenge" and "slow ass" comments are likely a non-threatening response to older rap heads criticizing Yachty and Uzi Vert for being mumble rappers, though the wording may rub some the wrong way.

Rich the Kid and Ugly God also provided their own commentary on the back and forth, which you can check out below.

While there's no release date available for either Luv Is Rage 2 or Teenage Emotions, best believe each of their respective fan bases are waiting on what they have in store.
