The headliners for this year’s annual Pitchfork Music Festival were announced this morning by way of a two-hour Facebook livestream, and if the headliners are any indication, it appears this year’s fest is going to be the best one yet.

Solange, A Tribe Called Quest, and LCD Soundsystem are the big draws for the publisher’s 12th annual edition of their festival which takes place in Chicago’s Union Park from July 14-16. The announcement was unveiled as Chicago-based artist Shelby Rodeffer painted an advertisement for the fest featuring the artists' names on a brick wall.

Headlining on the July 15, A Tribe Called Quest is coming off an explosive Grammy performance and their acclaimed comeback album, We Got It from Here... Thank You 4 Your Service, the group's first in 18 years which placed third on Complex’s Best Albums of 2016 list.

Still buzzing offer her excellent 2016 release A Seat at the Table, Solange will close out Pitchfork on July 16. Pitchfork will also partner with Solange's platform, Saint Heron, to present a special event series featuring artists talks, poetry readings, jazz performances, film screenings, and an art installation. The platform, a subset of Solange’s Saint Records imprint, will curate events across Chicago from July 13–16.

The rest of the three-day festival lineup, which in past years has spread 40 artists across three stages, will be announced over the next six weeks, but one can only hope it shapes up as good as its headliners.
