Just a day after it was released, Eminem's verse on Big Sean's No Favors has generated some controversy, which is the type of thing that's bound to happen when you call Donald Trump a "bitch." While the Trump line seems to be the one that CNN, BuzzFeed, etc. built their narratives around, Eminem also included professional person who says things for attention, Ann Coulter, in the same verse. In what could be (but probably isn't) the birth of a super corny beef, Coulter responded to those lyrics by calling out Eminem, and also staying true to her shtick by simultaneously calling out "the left."
"Well I think it’s unfortunate that the left, from Berkeley to Eminem with his rap songs, has normalized violence against women, as Eminem has done," Coulter said to TMZ on Friday afternoon. "He talks about f'ing women with an umbrella until the ‘bleep’ comes out. This goes on for years. He denounces gays using ugly terms. His homophobia and his misogyny is quite well known.
"It’s one thing and just you know some idiot who’s – by the way – no longer a kid, but now we’re seeing it play out with professors at Berkeley and the head of the Berkeley police. It’s just become quite normal for the left to behave in these violent ways toward women and gays."
She also didn't seem to buy into the idea that this would help her obtain some publicity, instead thinking Eminem is the one getting publicity off of her.
As for Trump, he hasn't yet inserted himself into the potential beef. But—with the possible exception of James Madison—he's probably the only president that wouldn't surprise us if he did.
