It sounds like Taylor Swift just got knocked down a peg.

According to Billboard, Nicki Minaj has surpassed Swift with the second most Hot 100 hits among woman. She tallied her 71st as a guest on Major Lazer's "Run Up," which debuted at No. 66 this week. Other recent Billboard hits from the Young Money rapper include "Side to Side" with Ariana Grande, DJ Khaled's "Do You Mind," and helping Yo Gotti's "Down in the DM" burn up the chart with the remix version.

Previously, Swift tied Minaj back in December with her Zayn collab "I Don't Wanna Live Forever." That song debuted at No. 6. The 27-year-old pop star had a relatively quiet 2016 and seemingly made more headlines for controversy than music

Both Swift and Minaj trail the "Queen of Soul," Aretha Franklin, who sits at the top with 73 Hot 100 hits in her career. There's a strong possibility that record gets wiped away this year with both Minaj and Swift working on new projects.
