The wait is finally over as Magnus August Høiberg, better known by his stage name Cashmere Cat, has finally released his debut album 9. The anticipation for this project has built up over the years, starting with Cashmere's first two EPs, Mirror Maru and Wedding Bells, along with a sugary collaboration with Ariana Grande that turned out to be an appetizer to the main course.

It's a moment the 29-year-old Norwegian producer/DJ has certainly thought of, and he shared his excitement earlier today:

9 boasts a star-studded lineup of guests, with the aforementioned Grande showing up on "Quit." The Weeknd, Selena Gomez, Ty Dolla Sign, and Camila Cabello are also featured throughout the 10-song-project.

Cashmere Cat has worked with several of these artists on their solo projects; Ariana Grande's My Everything, the Weeknd's Starboy, Tory Lanez's I Told You. Clearly they were nice enough to return the favor.

The release of 9 has also doubled as an opportunity for Cashmere to come out of his shell a bit. Not only did he grant Thump a look into his life with a lengthy profile, he also showed his face for the first time in a video for the album's title track, which you can view below:

You can stream and purchase Cashmere Cat's debut album on Apple Music/iTunes, or stream it below via Spotify. He's currently touring the country with stops in Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Diego throughout May. Cashmere will also be hitting several festivals this summer.
