DMX Asked for Trap Beats and Twitter Went in on Him

DMX wants your trap beats. Is that a problem?

DMX is in the market for some trap beats. Over the weekend, DMX tweeted out his trap beats request alongside a soon-to-be-swamped email address:

NO!! PLEASE DO NOT PUT TRAP $H!T ON YOUR ALBUM. That shhh is garbage & YOU ARE A REAL RAPPER! Please don't put your career on life support

Though X's request—which has since been deleted—surely had plenty of people scrambling to quickly mix some beats and promptly send them over, fan reaction was seemingly mixed. For reasons not entirely clear, some people aren't up for DMX doing his thing over modern trap beats:

Thankfully, a few optimists also chimed in:

In January, DMX plotted out his 2017 takeover by introducing a new logo on Instagram:

The image was shared without context or further explanation, months after DMX released the singles "Still Scratching" (with Styles P) and "Blood Red." The following week, DMX linked with Swizz Beatz for the track "Bain iz Back." With the track's release came increased speculation that 2017 might be the year we finally get a new DMX album.

Though an unauthorized version of Redemption of the Beast surfaced in 2015, DMX's last official release was back in 2012 with Undisputed.
