He's originally from Calgary but since relocating to Vancouver, Dkay has been committed to repping for his adopted city. His first single that garnered him some attention in the Canadian music scene was 2012's "Vancity Shit," and now the 23-year-old is back with another one for the home team with the music video for "DáMe."

Dkay is the de facto leader of the Leftside, a collective of Vancouver-based creatives pushing fashion and music in their city, along the way aiming to redefine the perception of the West Coast both at home and on the national and international stage. "DáMe"—which translates loosely from Spanish as “give it to me—marks the first project from the collective since the Leftside's formation last year, so it represents a bit of a coming out party for the crew. This track is also the first single from Dkay's forthcoming EP Rudeboy, set to be released this summer.
