Since 2012, the VELD music festival has been home to some of the biggest names in electronic music. The outdoor dance party, which is hosted by INK Entertainment, has consistently delivered the hype with a bevy of Billboard juggernauts and a steady dose of burgeoning talent. This summer, VELD will take over Toronto's Downsview Park yet again and it’ll do so boasting a few high-profile, if not surprising names.

Along with some of the usual suspects like Tiesto, Gareth Emery, and Major Lazer, hip-hop fans will be stoked to know that all of Future, Migos, and hometown superstar, Tory Lanez, will hit the Downsview stage. The aforementioned artists are currently riding their own wave of successful studio projects and are at arguably the highest points in their early careers. Atlanta’s Future and the Migos have delivered chart-topping smashes, while Tory Lanez is fresh from a Grammy nomination and nonstop tour dates.

Festival organizers are promising a new take on VELD when it kicks off this August. According to official details, the show will be expanded to multiple platforms. “New this year, VELD Music Festival will boast three distinct stages, each highlighting more internationally acclaimed talent than ever before. Each stage will offer diverse genres of music, including electronic, hip-hop, trap, indie, and underground, giving festival-goers more choice and variety.” If that wasn’t enough, it seems as though the entire experience is being turned up to eleven. “In order to accommodate the three stages, VELD will also be expanding the festival grounds, offering more on-site activations and activities to enhance the overall festival experience.”
