You may not know her name yet, but you soon WILL if Keisha Williams has anything to say about it. The young artist—who performs monomymously as WILL—just released her new video for the song "Palisades," and if platinum era R&B is your jam then you'll definitely want to start adding the Toronto-based songstress to your playlists.

Though she lives in Toronto now, WILL was born in Trinidad and Tobago, so music has been an integral part of her life since her youth. She's always been inspired to write songs about her real-life experiences, and "Palisades" incorporates many of the feelings associated with one of her latest adventures in life—motherhood. WILL recently made it to the top four on CBC's "Searchlight" competition with this song, performing it live on CBC.

The smooth track also gets a slick visual treatment in the form of a self-produced music video, directed by  Khandace Gordon. Just as the song lets WILL's soulful vocals take centre stage on top of a jazz-infused R&B beat, the video follows much of the same philosophy, featuring WILL with her stunning platinum braids piled high on her head, covered in tasteful body paint against a black background. Just like the track itself—simple, classy and effective.

Enjoy the "Palisades" video above and keep an eye and ear on WILL by following her on SoundCloud, Twitter and Facebook as 2017 rolls on.
