Faith Evans and Notorious B.I.G.'s 20-year-old son is preparing to release an album later this year. Christopher Jordan Wallace and his younger half-brother Joshua Jahad Russaw, together known as CJ and Jahad, have spent the past few months in the studio. In a recent interview with the Evening Standard, Wallace discussed the inevitability of his foray into the music industry and the upside to the pressures of being Biggie's son.

"At a young age I always knew I wanted to do music, it was inevitable," Wallace said. "My family have always had my back, whatever I've wanted to do they've supported. They were always giving me advice on what to do and how to go about things." The pressures of making music as Biggie's son, Wallace added, is "fuel" for him.

Wallace kicked off an acting career in the 2009 biopic Notorious, playing a younger version of his father. George Tilman Jr.'s film also starred Jamal Woolard, Angela Bassett, Anthony Mackie, and Derek Luke. The following year, Wallace appeared in the critically acclaimed Everything Must Go alongside Will Ferrell and Michael Peña:

Wallace then hit the pause button on acting while he finished school. Last year, he returned to the screen in Justin Tipping's Kicks. The film premiered at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival and currently holds an 84 percent average on Rotten Tomatoestomatometer.

In addition to the CJ and Jahad album, Wallace is putting together a film project centered on autism. "A lot of people don't understand [the issue]," Wallace, whose youngest half-brother has autism, told the Evening Standard. "I want to bring awareness to that, and special needs in general."
