Chris Brown Responds to Karrueche Tran's Abuse Allegations, Says He's Being 'Slandered'

Karrueche Tran is reportedly set to testify against Chris Brown after accusing him of physical abuse.

Chris Brown has addressed Karrueche Tran's physical abuse allegations. In recent Instagram comments, Brown said Tran "doesn't need a restraining order" against him. "I need one from them," he said, accusing Tran and her team of using the allegations to "promote something." Brown also referenced his 2009 abuse of Rihanna:

On Sunday, TMZreported that Tran "has no fear" about testifying against Brown in court. Sources said that one of Tran's motivations in deciding to testify is to "inspire other women" in similar situations to come forward. According to TMZ, Brown is accused by Tran of pushing her down the stairs, punching her in the stomach, and making death threats. In February, a temporary restraining order against Brown was granted. A judge ordered that Brown must stay away at least 100 yards away from Tran, the Associated Press reported at the time.

Last month, Brown's attorney made similar accusations against Tran and her legal team. "A lot of people use Chris to enhance their profile," lawyer Mark Geragos told TMZ. Following publication of Geragos' comments, Tran's manager Jacob York issued a statement saying, in part, "please don't use Karrueche's name to distract from your client's negative issues."

At a birthday event in Houston earlier this month, Brown was reportedly served with legal documents related to Tran's restraining order. Brown, however, has denied those reports. A hearing is reportedly expected to take place in the coming weeks.
