After teasing the track at the end of his last video, Toronto rapper Jigsaw has finally dropped his latest song and accompanying visual entitled "That's Cool," which we are premiering here today on Complex.
Jigsaw may be a new kid on the block but he's already making waves and gaining fans after releasing two videos that (combined) are nearing the 400,000 views mark. "That's Cool" was featured at the end of the "Like a Benz" video which released back in December. While "Like a Benz" was a call out to all the women in Jigsaw’s life who wouldn’t give him the time of day until he got on, "That's Cool" follows Jigsaw’s realization that his woman has been unfaithful.
As usual Jigsaw packs his lyrics with thoughtful and relatable lyrics, showing and emotional side to hip hop that is a breath of fresh air in between the turnt up trap anthems. It's this honesty that has drawn listeners to him and allowed him to build an engaged fanbase off just a few released tracks. On "That's Cool," he invites the listener into his thought process while he reflects on what happened in his relationship and ultimately realizes that he's better off without his cheating ex: "He might say he loves you but do he love you like I do?" The song was produced by Nanzoo, with the visual directed by Charlton Visuals.
Jigsaw has also collaborated with fellow Toronto rappers Robin Banks and Top 5, and was featured on Drake's popular Beats1 show OVO Sound Radio. His debut EP It's Complicated is due later this year.
