While we wait for Lil Yachty’s Teenage Emotions to drop, the 19-year-old rapper has blessed fans with another single and video off his debut album. The track is called “Bring It Back,” which is fitting considering how heavy it goes on the 1980s sounds. Even the lyrics have a John Hughes-esque vibe, as it finds the new-school MC yearning for the girl he lost—and, appropriately, the video is set at a prom.

“You know I been missin' your smell/I been missin' the way you raise hell/I been missin' the way your stories tell/I mean it when I told you, your skin was so golden I miss it,” Yachty sings over the mid-tempo beat.

“Bring It Back” is the third single off Teenage Emotions, following “Harley” and the Migos-assisted “Peek a Boo.” Judging by this latest release, Lil Boat will offer a wide-range of sounds in the upcoming album. You can stream the new single on Apple Music, purchase it now on iTunes, and watch the video above.

Early Friday morning, Yachty also announced the dates for his Teenage Tour this summer. The North American tour starts on August 11 in Dallas, and goes through October 20, when it ends in Atlanta.

During a, uh, heated discussion on Complex’s Everyday Struggle, Yachty discussed Teenage Emotions and how he approached it much differently than his previous projects, especially when it came to the album’s cover art.

“I just took it more seriously,” he said, before explaining whom he was trying to reach with the cover. “The message is just to believe in yourself, to love yourself. Basically, it’s just showing all sides of life. She has vitiligo. She’s like an emotional girl. We got obesity. And then we have same-sex love […] My music is basically to stay positive and just to love yourself. I’m the outcast of the hip-hop game. These are all outcasts on this cover. And now all I’m basically saying is you can be yourself and still be OK with it.”

Teenage Emotions is available for pre-order now. The album is set to drop May 26.
