Sorry to break it to you, but Selena Gomez and The Weeknd are not collaborating any time soon.

Earlier this week, rumors began circulating that the couple had a joint record on the way, which would be produced by Max Martin. It all started after someone updated Martin’s Wikipedia page to include Gomez’s upcoming single, “In Her Element,” as featuring the Starboy singer.

It was exciting information for fans of the couple, but it turns out it’s all fake news. Gomez reportedly revealed this during a recent appearance on The TJ Show.

"No, no we’re not," Gomez said when asked about the rumored collaboration. "It’s not true!"

The internet has deceived us, once again.

Gomez’s full interview on The TJ Show will air at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday morning on Boston’s 103.3 AMP Radio. The 24-year-old singer will reportedly discuss her massive Instagram following as well as her family’s thoughts on The Weeknd. Though some have questioned the legitimacy of their relationship (ahem, Justin Bieber), the couple has plenty of PDA moments.

During an interview with Miami’s Power 96.5 this month, Gomez opened up about her current relationship without mentioning any names.

"I'm the kind of girl that loves tremendously big. I just have always been that girl," she said. "I will give my heart and my soul to the person that I love. It's just how I operate. With that comes a lot, you know?"
