The ongoing beef between 50 Cent and Irv Gotti will probably never end.
More than a decade after their feud began, the two have continued to exchange shots on social media. Accusations of lying, snitching, and the call for a parent’s death are just some of the jabs they’ve thrown at each other. And it seems neither of them is willing to let the past go.
During an interview on The Breakfast Club earlier this week, Irv discussed several of his upcoming projects, including his new BET anthology series called Tales as well as the relaunch of his once-mighty record label Murder Inc. But, as expected, the discussion eventually turned to Irv’s longtime foe, 50. At around the 57-minute mark, Irv began talking about the time he tried to expose the G-Unit boss by providing the order of protection 50 filed against Murder Inc. If you recall, Irv made the document public to try to prove 50 had snitched on Murder Inc. associates following an attack that had left him injured.
“I’m like, ‘This [the legal document] is going to kill this guy.’ He’s calling me a pussy, and he has an order of protection against me and everyone and pressed charges. You know we gave him like a quarter mill, he sued us,” Irv said during the interview. “[…] It fell on deaf ears […] Shouldn’t that have been, in the real world, the death blow? […] Ni**a, you got beat up and poked up and you ran to the precinct and pressed charges on us. And the really death blow, you took out an order of protection. That’s like shit your baby momma does.”
It didn’t take too long for 50 to respond. The 41-year-old mogul shared a clip of the interview in which Irv is talking about how he has to “weather the fucking storm” and essentially take everything 50 is throwing at him because of the alleged media bias. “This ni**a is smacking us and spitting in our faces. We have to go like this, ‘Thank you may I have another.'”
50 captioned the post: “You think people can't see you soft IRV. You say you beat the Fed's no, you never did nothing you fucking punk. I will slap the shit out you, and you will say thanks May I have another. LOL.”
But that was far from 50’s most petty caption. The rapper also posted a photo of Irv and his former lady, Ashley Martelle, who used to be a Taz’s Angels escort. 50 wrote: “You in love with a call girl, shorty was one of Taz angels. Smh and you just kiss her in the mouth.”
It’s like we’re in the early aughties all over again.
