Gov Ball

We're less than 24 hours away from the 2017 installment of Governors Ball, which means you're likely finalizing your schedule for the three-day weekend featuring some of the biggest names in music, all performing at Randall's Island in New York.

The beauty of festivals is the opportunity to catch acts under the radar and on the rise, and Gov Ball's lineup is no different. Sure, you may have Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino, and Lorde circled on the itinerary, but what about Dua Lipa?

If you still have a few holes in your schedule, here are five acts to catch at Governors Ball 2017.

Francis and the Lights

Francis and the Lights

Set Time: Fri., June 2 at 2:15 p.m. (Bacardi Stage)

Francis and the Lights, the brainchild of Francis Farewell Starlite, is scheduled as one of the first acts to kick off Gov Ball this year. Francis will be bringing his brand of in your feels vibes and material from his debut album Farewell, Starlite!

And who knows? Maybe a guest or two will show up during the set. Just last week, Chance took the stage alongside Francis to perform the choreography from the "May I Have This Dance (Remix)" video at Boston Calling. Both acts performed on the same day then, just like they do at Gov Ball (Friday).

Jessie Reyez

Jessie Reyez

Set Time: Sat., June 3 at 12:15 p.m. (Honda Stage)

In an era where petty theatrics and larger-than-life personas usually receive the most limelight, Jessie Reyez's raw songwriting and energy has spearheaded her rise in the industry, and that combo will no doubt be present when the Toronto artist hits the stage at Gov Ball to perform material from her debut EP Kiddo. Expect a performance with three ingredients: a guitar, a microphone, and purpose.

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa

Set Time: Sat., June 3 at 1:30 p.m. (Gov Ball NYC Stage)

Dua Lipa's appearance at Gov Ball couldn't have come at a better time as the 21-year-old singer's self-titled debut album comes out the day before she hits the main stage. This will give her an opportunity to perform new material live for the first time as well as hit attendees with breakout hit "Be the One" and song of the summer contender "Lost in Your Light."

Marshmello

Marshmello

Set Time: Sat., June 3 at 6:45 p.m. (Honda Stage)

Marshmello's identity may still be shrouded in mystery, but what's not a secret is that the electronic producer/DJ has become one of the brightest stars in the scene. His debut album Joytime will be solid source material for the crowd to get turnt up to along with his recent singles. Also expect Marshmello to get in his bag and drop massive remixes, like the one below.

Kaiydo

Kaiydo

Set Time: Sun., June 4 at 12:45 p.m. (Bacardi Stage)

The Florida scene has become a breeding ground for new talent, with Orlando representative Kaiydo offering up an optimistic brand of rap the youth has been gravitating toward. He'll be in prime position to expand his base after attendees catch him at Gov Ball.
